Our founder’s journey with skin sensitivities, particularly an allergy to DMAPA (dimethylaminopropylamine), showed us just how hard it is to find safe, effective products in a world full of hidden irritants.

What You’ll Never Find in Our Products:

DMAPA – A common contaminant found in “gentle” cleansers, often hidden behind words like cocamidopropyl betaine. For people with sensitivities, it can cause rashes, blisters, and painful flare-ups.

CAPB (Cocamidopropyl Betaine) – A surfactant derived from coconut that is often contaminated with DMAPA.

Artificial Fragrances & Harsh Preservatives – These can be major triggers for sensitive skin and eczema-prone individuals.

Coconut-Derived Ingredients – Even the “safe” ones aren’t safe for everyone. We build our formulas from the ground up with truly alternative oils and emulsifiers.

What We Use Instead:

Olivem 1000 – A natural olive-based emulsifier that creates a luxurious, creamy texture without synthetic waxes.

Aloe Vera, Honey, and Oat – To soothe and restore the skin’s moisture barrier naturally.

Niacinamide, Panthenol, and Hyaluronic Acid – Dermatologist-loved ingredients that boost hydration, calm redness, and support skin healing.

Essential Oils (Used Responsibly) – We only include what serves a skin or therapeutic purpose — no fillers, no artificial perfumes.

Most emulsifying wax blends contain ethoxylated compounds that can irritate sensitive skin.
We use Olivem 1000, a gentle olive-derived alternative with no PEGs or harsh synthetics.

No Store-Bought "Natural" Myths

Big brands love to say “gentle” or “eczema safe” — then sneak in cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) for foaming.
Even baby washes marketed for sensitive skin often contain DMAPA-contaminated ingredients.
At Kraus Crafted, we never use CAPB, DMAPA, or anything that tries to mimic nature by compromising safety.

At Kraus Crafted, every formula is handcrafted from scratch & every product is made to order, not mass produced— because of this, certain key ingredients in our recipes may occasionally be in limited supply or temporarily unavailable.

Rather than substitute or compromise, we choose to pause production until we can restock the exact ingredients your skin has come to trust.

That means some of our products will appear as “Low Stock” or “Sold Out” — not due to hype, but because we believe in doing things the right way, or not at all.
